Rob is a partner of Clearbell Capital LLP. He has a specific responsibility for mainstream acquisition and asset management activities as well as being a member of the Investment Committee.
During a career spanning over 27 years in real estate, Rob has been involved in the leasing, investment and asset management of approximately £2.5 billion of UK properties.
Rob’s recent experience includes the acquisition, asset management and part sale of Harbour Exchange, (office buildings in Docklands); the Cara, Amber, CV, Mercury and Jeeves Portfolios and a number of other office, industrial and mixed use assets throughout the UK.
Rob joined Mountgrange Investment Management LLP in 2007. Prior to joining Mountgrange, Rob worked at Hawthorne West, an asset management operating partner which he founded in 2006 to manage UKCP, a £100 million real estate private equity fund sponsored by Mountgrange Capital. Prior to forming Hawthorne West, Rob was a founding partner of the investment broking arm of Smiths Gore (now Savills). His clients included Legal and General Group plc, Threadneedle Investments and UBS Securities.
From 1996 to 2000, Rob was a director at Nelson Bakewell Ltd (now Capita), where he ran the National Business Space Investment Broking Team. Rob started his career in 1990 at Daniel Watney, focusing on London office leasing, qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor in 1994. He holds a post graduate diploma in Property Valuation and Law from City University (CASS) and a BA (Hons) in Anthropology from Durham University.
Rob is a member of the Clothworkers’ Livery Company Property Committee, which oversees the City Livery Company’s extensive Central London property investment portfolio.
