Clearbell is like a family but without all of the arguments. As a small team we are collaborative and everyone contributes, which is important to me. I joined the business in 2008 and am responsible for delivering the sustainability strategy. I am also a member of the ESG Committee. Over the years there have been many projects I have enjoyed. Delivering a work experience programme with Power2, a charity offering young people experiential learning and skills-based development and implementing our new utility data collection platform were both highlights.
Prior to joining the team, I worked for Lord Young at Young Associates Ltd. I graduated with honours in American Studies from the University of Leicester, having spent a year at the University of Miami as part of the degree course. In 2020 I gained a Certificate in Foundations of Responsible Investment from the PRI Academy.
Outside work I sing in a choir and enjoy pretending to live the Good Life with my vegetable patch. I also take my ESG work home with me and try to live a zero-waste lifestyle. I set myself a challenge in early 2020 not to fly anywhere for the year. It ended up being an easier challenge than anticipated – for all the wrong reasons – but I have got to explore more of the UK which has been a win.
