After co-founding Clearbell in 2012 and spending ten years focusing on the firm’s development projects and specialist investment activities, I now work as a consultant for one of the separate accounts managed by Clearbell.
One of the best perks of my job is the huge satisfaction I get from creating great new places for people to work, live and play. Clearbell projects like West Regent Street in Glasgow and The Riverwalk in Durham improve the lives of people who work, live or spend their leisure time there.
During a career that spans more than 30 years, and includes co-founding Clearbell in 2012, I have won advisory and asset management contracts and completed acquisitions of UK real estate worth approximately £1.9 billion.
I began my career at Knight Frank, where I qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1993 and managed strategic land and rural property for institutional clients. I went onto work for Turville Court Estate (TCE), where I set up a property portfolio and also held positions as the Managing Director of a small construction company and farming business. I joined Mountgrange Capital in 2001 and then Mountgrange Management Investment LLP in 2007.
Outside of work I am an avid Bath rugby fan and enjoy tennis and fishing, but it is my family that I am most passionate about. I’m also a rare example of a business leader who doesn’t have a degree – I started my life running farms and estates and have worked in virtually every part of the property sector.
