A crucial part of the Chalk portfolio, Voyager Place addressed an urgent need for high-quality offices in regional south-east areas where there is strong economic growth
Consisting of offices that we identified as suitable for redevelopment – with excellent transport links within the region and to Greater London – the Chalk portfolio was amalgamated over 20 months.
A key part of this repositioning was Voyager Place, a secondary office building located on the edge of Maidenhead town centre. We undertook a £7m refurbishment to attract occupiers who were looking for first-class office accommodation, focusing on realigning Voyager Place as a new energy-efficient Grade A space with an EPC ‘A’ rating. Within five months of completing the refurbishment, the whole building was leased to a single occupier, making it the largest single Thames Valley letting in 2017. Voyager Place was then sold in November 2018 for £31m.
