Our social and charitable side
A positive team spirit goes far beyond the successes of Clearbell’s investment and management activities. Despite being faced with the challenges of the pandemic, the team works hard to enjoy a range of social events and take part in charity initiatives.
The Academy of Real Assets
We are supporting The Academy of Real Assets to help students from under-served & higher need schools get wider access to the world of real estate, real assets & investments. As part of our work with the academy, in July 2022, we offered 2 students from Lambeth Academy work experience.
Clearbell Culture Club
Launched in 2020 by our Diversity & Inclusion Committee, our Culture Club meets regularly to discuss a wide range of topics. Originally a book club, the group has organically evolved to include documentaries, podcasts & films.

Social
We regularly take part in events such as the JLL Property Triathlon or the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge. And we’re not afraid to leave our comfort zones – some of us even swim across the bay in Cannes as part of the annual swiMIPIM. Whether on dry land or not, we’re always keen to support new causes.

In July 2022, we were awarded the Gold Payroll Giving Quality Mark Award after introducing our Charitable Payroll Giving Scheme in March. The scheme allows tax-free donations to be made to a charity of our employee’s choice, with Clearbell matching every donation.
The Chartered Surveyors Bursary Programme
The Chartered Surveyors Bursary Programme
In 2022, we started supporting The Chartered Surveyors Bursaries Programme. This is designed to engage targeted students from UK state schools & colleges & encourage them to consider university as well as study & pursue a career in real estate. Our involvement includes financial support, work experience placements & ongoing mentoring for the student we sponsor during their 3 year course.
Asset led initatives
We are committed to ensuring that our ethos and culture goes further than just our immediate team and so we work with our Property Managers, Suppliers and Tenants on a wide range of initiatives.
Random Acts of Kindness Day
In February 2021, we worked with one of our Property Managers, Ashdown Phillips, to organise boxes of chocolates to be delivered to the tenants at Orbital Retail Park, Cannock to thank them for providing essential services to their local community.
Plastic Free July
July 2021 will see some of our properties commit to Plastic Free July – a global awareness initiative of the Plastic Free Foundation that allows us to work towards our vision of seeing a world free of plastic waste.
Memberships
Clearbell is a member of numerous industry bodies including the British Property Federation (membership organisation for the UK real estate industry), INREV (European Association for Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate) and GRESB (the ESG Benchmark for Real Assets). Several Clearbell Partners and senior tax professionals also regularly take part in panel discussions held by key industry bodies or working parties. These provide a valuable opportunity to review and discuss the latest issues and regulatory changes facing the UK real estate industry – and ensure our finger stays firmly on the pulse.
