Highly motivated. Rigorous. Curious. These characteristics best describe the Clearbell team. Whether we’re considering investments or delivering business plans, our cross-functional expertise and ‘no-stone-left-unturned’ drive for precision play a key part in what we do.
We believe our model of inclusiveness and mutual respect delivers better performance and outcomes for us and our clients. We invite the whole team to share ideas and make decisions that drive our business forward. Our internal and external training programmes ensure that individual team members receive genuine peer support as they progress through their careers. And by cultivating a collegiate environment that is as challenging as it is encouraging, our people excel.
A positive team spirit goes far beyond the successes of Clearbell’s investment and management activities. When we’re not in the office, the whole team enjoys a wide-ranging mix of social activities and charity events.
In October 2018, the whole Clearbell team took part in the Steptober challenge alongside 500 other property professionals. We stepped over 13 million steps to raise vital funds for LandAid, a property industry charity which supports projects for young people facing homelessness.
We regularly take part in events such as the JLL Property Triathlon or the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge. And we’re not afraid to leave our comfort zones – some of us even swim across the bay in Cannes as part of the annual swiMIPIM. Whether on dry land or not, we’re always keen to support new causes.
The team regularly get together for a Clearbelly lunch feast. This is an opportunity to sit down as a team, share good food, and show off our culinary skills. Or if our skills aren’t up to the challenge, we donate tasty goods to the Salvation Army to help people struggling with homelessness in our local community.
In collaboration with Power2, a charity offering experiential learning and skills-based development, we offer young people the chance to experience the fast-paced real estate industry. Actively helping them build their confidence, resilience and employability, we ensure they develop the skills they need to progress into higher education or a full-time job.
Clearbell is a member of numerous industry bodies including the British Property Federation (membership organisation for the UK real estate industry), INREV (European Association for Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate) and GRESB (the ESG Benchmark for Real Assets). Several Clearbell Partners and senior tax professionals also regularly take part in panel discussions held by key industry bodies or working parties. These provide a valuable opportunity to review and discuss the latest issues and regulatory changes facing the UK real estate industry – and ensure our finger stays firmly on the pulse.
