Clearbell secures two new lettings at The Riverwalk, Durham

Clearbell Property Partners II LP (Clearbell), a fund managed by Clearbell Capital LLP, today announces two new lettings at its retail and leisure destination, The Riverwalk, Durham.

The Burger Priest, which offers a variety of burgers made from range-fed and traceable Aberdeen Angus beef, will be opening in spring 2021 having signed a 10 year lease. The restaurant will be able to accommodate diners for lunch and dinner, complying fully with government Covid-19 restrictions.

Local bed and furniture retailer Durham Bed & Furniture Centre will also be opening at The Riverwalk, having signed a new lease. The new store, which will offer customers its full range of beds, mattresses, and bedroom & occasional furniture, is opening in December.

Stewart Forsyth, Development Director at Clearbell Capital, said:

“We are pleased to be welcoming two exciting new tenants to the Riverwalk in 2021. While the pandemic continues to create uncertainty around trading, we are confident that the Riverwalk offers a safe environment for visitors to eat, drink and shop.”

Refurbishment works of car park 1 have commenced, including redecorating, and installing new parking machines to create a simpler, more seamless experience for customers. The refurbishment is due to complete in April 2021. The Riverwalk is a vibrant shopping, dining and entertainment destination in Durham.
